AKD eID Card is AKD's own product that fully complies with the international standards ISO 7816, ISO/IEC 7810 and ISO/IEC 14443. It is based on advanced digital-security technology with reliable cryptographic protection, an operating system, and a proprietary applet, mounted on a PVC or polycarbonate card with a certified contact chip and optical security elements.
The AKD eID Card 2.0 model, certified by BSI according to Common Criteria EAL4+ and EN 419 211, enables secure generation of signing keys and communication with external applications. It supports the creation of a Qualified Electronic Signature (QES) and the storage of qualified certificates (SSCD) in accordance with the eIDAS Regulation 910/2014.
The AKD eID Card is a key component of e-Government projects, national e-ID cards, e-Health, e-Transport, e-Voting, as well as solutions in the private sector (e-Business, e-Banking). The document’s security is achieved through a balanced combination of optical and physical security features, along with advanced personalization, preventing counterfeiting, ensuring a high level of personal data protection, and enabling secure transactions in a digital environment.
